Our garden beds generally were generally overgrown and needed mulching. The trees and bushes also needed to be trimmed. I initially contacted Affordable and quickly received a return text message. Within a few days Steve came out and did an estimate. The estimate was very reasonable and within a week the work was completed. We were very pleased with the work done, the price of the job and the responsiveness of our messages and emails. We would highly recommend this business.

I highly recommend this Affordable Lawn and Landscaping. The owner is responsive and the crews are thorough, professional, and respectful of property. I use them for all my lawn care and landscaping/ lawn cleanup needs. They have even built a small stacked stone wall using field stone. I hired affordable to clear the huge amount of leaves on my 1/3 acre or so of front lawn. I was a little apprehensive about signing an online contract for their hourly rate...which did not include the final cost...but I was in a pinch and did it anyway. The two guys they sent out were excellent, hard working, did a great job, and I thought the price was pretty reasonable. Tipped them both in cash and paid for the work online. Highly recommended.

After trying a few other companies that never showed up when they said they would, I found Affordable Lawn and Landscaping. Steve and his crew never let me down over 4 years of doing business with them. They always showed up when scheduled, whether it was the weekly mowing or semi annual trimming and mulching They always did a quality job as well. They even went as far as putting a tarp up and hand trimming some of the bushes on the property line to appease a neighbor who didn't want clipping falling into his yard. I have sold the property, so I no longer need their service, or I would definitely still be using them. Great company!

We had a very difficult bank in our backyard. Nothing but weeds and hard to mow. Jared developed a plan that turned the bank into a mulched bed with ground cover plants and a very durable metal border. They also removed a medium-sized oak tree that was dying, two crepe myrtles that I hated, ground an unsightly old stump and transplanted an evergreen from a garden near our patio to the new mulched area. The price was very reasonable, the work punctual and professional and our backyard has gone from an eyesore to an area that is wonderful to behold. I highly recommend them and will be using them again.

He sent us the plan and the quote that afternoon and the price was more than reasonable for the amount of work and materials required. They scheduled the work in a timely manner and were able to complete the entire job in just one and a half days. The workers were very professional and courteous and, when finished, there was no mess or collateral damage to our yard. The only way you could tell they were there is that our backyard has gone from being an eyesore to being a truly beautiful area to behold.

Team of 2 came on time, worked quickly, replaced the broken section, and cleaned up all dirt and moved pavers/stone. Only reason I didn’t give them “A” on responsiveness was I wasn’t clear how much this would cost. They charge by hour plus showing up fee and it turned out to be a LOT cheaper than I thought. I highly recommend them. Just understand they charge by the hour (at least for repairs).

Overall experience with Affordable Lawn and Landscaping was excellent. From initial call for a free estimate to having the work scheduled and carried out in a very timely manner, to the final result of having a transformed area at the front of our house that we can be proud of! The contractors who actually carried out the work were excellent, professional, and had a lot of knowledge about plants. The front and side of our house badly needed thinning out and putting into shape (including 5 yards of mulch) and we cannot be happier with the result. The guys did a very full and hard day’s work. We wanted to replace our old azaleas along the sidewalk to our front porch as well as the entire length of our country porch. Steve was very responsive to my call for an estimate and came out to our house the following day. He was very professional and had brought along a measuring wheel. Noticing that a tree in front of the porch in the grass area had some problems, he suggested we have it and another tree removed, which would provide a whole lot more sunshine for the new azaleas. After the trees were removed, Steve was very prompt to schedule our work. The work crew was 2 1/2 hours late in arriving, due to a problem with the type of azaleas we had ordered, but once they were at the house, they pitched right in with the job. The head guy Mike was awesome....efficient and personable. He provided some good suggestions for placing the old bushes which were to be replanted in the natural grove in front of the house. The job took longer then projected, but the end result was very satisfactory. We will definitely call them for work in the future. The job supervisors were very professional and a pleasure to work with. The estimate was very clear and detailed and the down-payment procedure was easy to do online.

Professional beyond reproach, pricing far below any other company with the knowledge and expertise that exceeds any lawn care company that I have used in the past. The owner is "hands on ", making certain that each and every client is 100% satisfied. There landscape capabilities absolutely beautiful! Talking about wanting curb appeal! With this company everyone will stop by and say "I can't believe the difference before and after! ". I know, all of my neighbors were extremely impressed with the before and after!

We called Steve Mills to handle our "pre-landscaping" needs. He responded quickly and met me at the house to do an estimate almost immediately.
This home is one we purchased to renovate with the intention of resale. It was in a horrible state. We knew the neighbors would appreciate having it look decent asap. Steve came in and did basic cleanup. Leaves, gutters, removed some small dead trees and some shrubs. I say basic, but that doesn't really cover it. The holly bush he removed was probably 4' tall, and 8' x 5' wide. The house looks amazing! When I told him how great of a job he did he said "it helps when you have a crew that really cares about the quality of the job they do." That says it all for me.  Without question we will contact Affordable Lawn and Landscaping to do our final landscaping before the house goes on the market.

They arrived promptly and worked diligently. The final product was really nice. They trimmed back some large boxwoods and also trimmed a damaged spruce. As a result the spruce has repaired itself. Once the work was completed, the owner called and emailed to ensure my satisfaction. I was extremely satisfied with their work and customer service. I would definitely hire again.

We highly recommend Affordable Lawn and Landscaping. We have an 11 acre property with miscellaneous shrubs around the house and both evergreens and disciduous trees along the drive and road and fields. After 2 solid days of pruning and branch removal and cleanup, we can see our driveway, road, walkways etc.  All ready for winter.

Removal of 3 bushes; relocation of 2 flowering bushes; planting of 5 plants. I had a good experience working with Steve Mills of Affordable Lawn And Landscaping LLC. Steve was responsive to my requests (we corresponded primarily by e-mail) and provided an accurate detailed quote to accomplish the work. Ultimately, Steve got the job done (removal of 3 bushes, relocation of 2 flowering bushes, planting of 5 new plants) within my budget. My front yard looks much improved from its prior overgrown state.

Yard need to be repaired and Landscaped where we removed a very large above ground pool. Very well, considering the surprise of 2 and 1/2 feet of rock that was on one side of the pool. In addition to the gravel that was around the pool, we also found a truck load of stone buried in the ground. The stone was left buried when our house was built in the 1960s. Since took out a truck load of gravel and stone, an additional 3 cu feet of fill dirt had to be ordered and brought in. The truck with dirt would not fit in the fence, so it was brought in by a small bulldozer. It took 1 extra work day and additional people to complete the unexpected work.

Our yard was in serious need of upkeep. The crew came out on the day that was scheduled and spent three long days working on my yard. It went well. It's obvious that Steve Mills is knowledgeable and truly cares about the work and service he provides. Steve is professional and pleasant to work with. He answered all of our questions and provided us with a quote in a timely manner. Once the work was completed he provided us with instructions on how often and how long to water for the new seed to germinate. We have some problem with the grass not filling in in the front yard area where the trees/stumps had been. When we told Steve, he had his crew come back and reseed the area and we are hoping it will eventually grow in.

This company is great to work with. They provide diagrams of work to be performed, provide estimates, and then on-line contract approval. They do what they said they were going to do and do it superbly. We couldn't be more pleased.

Outstanding. VERY responsive. Work performed in two phases, part in the fall and the remainder completed this spring. lawn has taken extremely well, and we continue to talk and review recurring service requirements.
